# Map of Paestum: Archaeological Area and Main Monuments

![planimetria di Paestum](https://www.paestumsites.it/planimetria.jpg)

The archaeological area of Paestum preserves the remains of the ancient Greek city of Poseidonia and the later Roman city of Paestum.

Use the map to locate the three great Greek temples, the Roman Forum, the amphitheatre, the city walls and the other main monuments visible along the archaeological route.

The map helps you find your way around the temples, forum and other buildings of the ancient city, but a guided tour allows you to better understand their function and how they changed over the centuries.
